The Archive Istanbul operates as a sole proprietorship under the name Erman Çarıkçı Sole Proprietorship (“Sole Proprietorship”).
With this Privacy Notice, we aim to fulfill our disclosure obligations under the Personal Data Protection Law (“Law”). Within this scope, the matters we are obliged to inform you about are set out below:

 

Identity of the Data Controller and Its Representative (if any)

The data controller is Erman Çarıkçı Sole Proprietorship (“Sole Proprietorship”), located at Muhittin Mahallesi, Mehtap Aralığı Sokak No: 2 34040 – Çorlu/TekirdaÄŸ, Türkiye and registered with the Çorlu Tax Office under tax identification number 2300471223.
 

Purposes of Processing Personal Data

During the product purchase process and/or account creation process on www.thearchiveist.com (“Website”), personal data you provide to our Company in the categories of identity information (name-surname, date of birth, gender, marital status), contact information (email address, postal address, mobile phone number), invoicing information, payment information, customer transaction information, transaction security information, marketing information, and request/complaint information are processed for the purposes of delivering the product you purchased, fulfilling the requirements of the sales agreement established between you and the Company, maintaining efficient and long-term customer relations, managing sales and after-sales support processes, contacting you when necessary with respect to your order, completing your membership registration should you choose to become a Website member, tracking user requests and complaints, resolving potential disputes, detecting and preventing issues/errors related to the use of the Website, conducting internal audits and controls of business activities, fulfilling our legal obligations arising primarily from consumer protection, electronic commerce, and commercial electronic communication legislation, fulfilling our obligations in case competent authorities request information from our Company or require notification, storing your personal data within the statutory limitation period, sending promotional/advertising/campaign-related emails subject to your explicit consent, and contacting you for customer satisfaction purposes through surveys or similar preference/request/complaint measurement methods.

During your visit and use of our Website, certain personal data such as browser information, IP address, internet connection information, and site usage behavior may also be collected via cookies (small text files transmitted to your device by the Website server). Such data are processed to enable access to the Website, facilitate use of its features, ensure navigation between pages, avoid re-entry of information, improve performance by collecting data on Website usage subject to your consent, remember your preferences to provide convenience, and tailor the Website and advertisements to your interests and preferences. Processing is based on the legal grounds of: explicit provisions in the law (e.g., service provider obligations in electronic commerce), necessity for establishing and executing a distance sales agreement between the parties, necessity for compliance with legal obligations, necessity for legitimate interests of the Company provided that fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed, as well as explicit consent where required.
 

Rights of the Data Subject Under the Law

You have the right to: (a) learn whether your personal data are processed, (b) request information if your personal data have been processed, (c) learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in line with such purpose, (ç) know the third persons to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad, (d) request the correction of personal data if incomplete or inaccurate, (e) request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring processing no longer exist, (f) request that such actions be communicated to third parties to whom personal data have been transferred, (g) object to the occurrence of a result against you through the exclusive analysis of personal data via automated systems, and (ÄŸ) request compensation for damage in case you suffer loss due to unlawful processing.
 

You may submit these requests to the Sole Proprietorship in writing or via registered electronic mail, secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or using the electronic mail address previously notified and registered in the Sole Proprietorship’s system (in this context, you may contact the Company via contact.thearchive.ist@gmail.com), or through a software or application developed for such purposes.
